System Overview
The GPS Online Solutions Man-Down^® System is a mine safety system designed to increase the safety of remote and lone workers across a mine site. The system is designed for use in both light and heavy vehicles, the major components are outlined below:

The Man-Down^® system has been designed with redundancy in the data communications interface. The default communications link between a vehicle and the data server is WiFi. In the event that WiFi connectivity is not available, the Man-Down^® system will switch over to satellite communications. The event types that can be sent over the satellite link are configurable in the system parameters; the default settings allow only the three Man-down^® event types to be sent via satellite.
